Drunk on You & High on Summertime

Drunk on you, high on summertime - Chalkboard art from Boston In Heels

This weekend marked not only Boston’s first (just about) heatwave of the year but also the first beach day. I guess when Mother Nature decided it was summer, it arrived in full force!

I spent the weekend preparing for my upcoming Nashville trip (Wednesday!!!!), celebrating a friend’s birthday and singing along with Luke Bryan…all while trying to stay cool. I also received my first sunburn ever which you can see in the picture above. #whitepeopleproblems

Below are a few pictures from Sunday’s Florida/Georgia Line & Luke Bryan concert:

Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo

This weekend was full of great food and drinks. I kicked off the weekend with a great meal at Abe & Louie’s, my favorite steak restaurant.

Saturday I went to the Food Truck Throwdown on the Greenway which featured 20 different food trucks from Boston and New York. I sampled treats from Bon Me, Mike N Willies and Cookie Monstah. Here are some of our sweet treats….iced coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and red velvet cookies with green monster ice cream.

Saturday night I went to the Bruins playoff game. It was a tough lost but we still had a blast!

One Week Ago…

We left our houses last Monday morning to celebrate what we thought would be a nice day off of work. My three friends and I headed to Fenway to take in the 11am Sox game.

The gals and I right after the Sox walk off win thanks to an RBI double by Mike Napoli in the bottom of the 9th!

This view never gets old to me. Seeing Fenway for the first time every season is always a great feeling. After the events of the last week, these Boston landmarks seem to be even more special.
